As a an IT Specialist, you will be responsible for working with the Senior IT Specialist in helping to manage and oversee the organization's IT infrastructure, ensuring the seamless operation of systems, networks, and software applications. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
Key Responsibilities:
Infrastructure Management:
- Lead the design, implementation, and maintenance of the organization's IT infrastructure.
- Ensure the availability, reliability, and security of networks, servers, and systems.
Team Leadership:
- Provide guidance and mentorship to junior IT staff.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive IT initiatives and projects.
Technical Support:
- Address escalated technical issues and provide expert-level support.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex IT problems in a timely manner.
Security and Compliance:
- Implement and enforce security policies and procedures.
- Stay abreast of the latest cybersecurity threats and ensure the organization's IT environment is secure and compliant.
Vendor Management:
- Collaborate with external vendors to procure and maintain IT equipment and services.
- Evaluate and recommend new technologies to enhance the organization's IT capabilities.
Documentation and Training:
- Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for IT systems and processes.
- Conduct training sessions for staff to promote efficient use of IT resources.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
- Proven experience is a bonus.
- Strong expertise in network administration, system integration, and IT project management.
